Varsity
Letters: Students who participate in drama are eligible to
receive a varsity “W” in recognition of their achievements. The
criteria for earning a letter are as follows: 1. Student should be on
the roster for the Massachusetts High School Drama Guild Festival
show, AND 2. the
student must demonstrate mastery
of a lead or major supporting role, or technical work in any of
the several VTC projects throughout the year. Once a student receives a
letter, they receive a year bar in each subsequent year in which they
participate in drama. Students who have earned a varsity letter in
another sport or activity receive a drama insignia to be attached to
their previously awarded letter.
The
Viking Theater Education Award is given in the second semester
of college to a deserving student who is majoring or minoring in
Theater, or a performance related discipline at an accredited college.

The Highlight Award is given at the discretion of the staff to
members of the VTC who, through their attitude, performance or other
contributions, made a unique, indelible and memorable impact on the
year.
The
Viking Award is given to a member of the Company that best
exemplifies the motto: "Nothing excellent was ever achieved without
enthusiasm." Recipients of this award are unmatched in their work ethic
and dedication to the goals of the Viking Theater Company.
